APGO Awards: Last Chance to Make a Nomination

APGO is accepting nominations for two awards, the Humanism in Teaching Award and the Donna Wachter Clerkship Coordinator Award. The deadline is just two weeks away, so nominate a deserving member of your department today!
Humanism in Teaching Award
Now in its third year, this award honors ob-gyn educators from APGO member departments who are outstanding role models in the teaching of ob-gyn. Awardees are recognized as not only skilled clinicians but also as outstanding educators who intentionally foster compassionate, respectful, and collaborative relationships with learners, health care teams, patients, and their families with the ultimate goal of engendering shared and preference-based medical decisions, greater patient satisfaction with care, and improved outcomes. Donna Wachter Clerkship Coordinator Award
This award, now in its fifth year, acknowledges excellence in the position of Ob-Gyn Clerkship Coordinator and is designed to recognize an outstanding Ob-Gyn Clerkship Coordinator as identified by the Department Chair. In addition to one award winner, four coordinators will also be recognized with an honorable mention. Exemplary coordinators possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to problem solve discretely and diplomatically. Coordinators embody an institution's mission, vision, and values.
