In keeping with the Strategic Plan pillar to increase membership engagement and inclusivity, APGO is accepting applications for several committees. If you would be a good fit for any of the following opportunities, apply now! Surgical Education Scholars (SES) Program Faculty Advisory Committee Deadline: April 28 The SES Program Faculty Advisory Committee serves as advisors and mentors for SES scholars, develops the course curriculum, and delivers content. The APGO SES Faculty practices continuous quality improvement to ensure that the SES curriculum is current, relevant, and responsive to the needs of each cohort of scholars. Prior participation in the SES Program is beneficial but not required. Awards Selection Committee Deadline: May 19 The Awards Selection Committee reviews, evaluates, and competitively ranks proposals, applications, and nominations, based upon each program’s criteria, to determine awardees. This group also reviews work products and participates in coaching and mentoring for project teams, where applicable. Medical Education Clerkship Coordinators of Obstetrics and Gynecology (MECCOG) Leadership Committee Deadline: May 19 APGO is seeking applications for up to six at-large members of the MECCOG Leadership Committee. MECCOG promotes professionalism among ob-gyn clerkship coordinators through tools, resources, and shared best practices. The MECCOG Leadership Committee focuses on the creation and dissemination of these resources and innovations to further the role of ob-gyn clerkship coordinators. Undergraduate Medical Education Committee (UMEC) Deadline: May 19 APGO is seeking applications for four new UMEC members. The Undergraduate Medical Education Committee is one of APGO’s most prolific and collegial committees. UMEC facilitates the improvement of undergraduate medical education by producing motivational and developmental programs for faculty, proposing minimum knowledge and skill requirements for undergraduates, identifying, developing, and evaluating content of learning materials, testing instruments, and more.
