<title>New Member Resource: APGO Bias Awareness Management Series</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; color: #202020; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 16px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box;">APGO is excited to announce the launch of a new member resource!&nbsp;Created by the APGO Undergraduate Medical Education Committee (UMEC), the APGO Bias Awareness Management (BAM) Series is designed to provide ob-gyn faculty with&nbsp;practical&nbsp;guidance&nbsp;and actionable strategies&nbsp;to help teach&nbsp;students&nbsp;to&nbsp;recognize&nbsp;and address bias in patient care&nbsp;and the learning environment.&nbsp;Bias awareness matters for preceptors because it shapes the learning&nbsp;environment,&nbsp;influences&nbsp;how students are assessed, supported, and included, and&nbsp;could contribute to&nbsp;the way those future clinicians care for patients.</span><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><span style="box-sizing: border-box;">After reading the pamphlets, preceptors will be able to&nbsp;develop a framework for teaching students about accountability and sensitivity in providing evidence-based,&nbsp;equitable&nbsp;care to patients. Send messages such as "thanks for the information" or "me, too" to individuals—not to the entire list. Do this by using your e-mail application's forwarding option and typing in or cutting and pasting in the e-mail address of the individual to whom you want to respond.&nbsp;<em style="box-sizing: border-box;">Remember, clicking on “Reply” sends the message to the Discussion List, not the Sender.</em></li><li style="box-sizing: border-box; text-size-adjust: 100%;">Listserv member requests to complete should be limited to two posts, one initial post and one follow-up.</li><li style="box-sizing: border-box; text-size-adjust: 100%;">Be courteous and allow others to have their say. <title>APGO Releases Updated Educational Modules on Responsible Engagement with Industry</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">CROFTON, MD, September 6, 2024 – The Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) is pleased to announce the release of the APGO Educational Modules on Responsible Engagement with Industry. These modules are an update of the 2014 APGO Interactions with Industry modules and were developed to support <a href="https://apgo.org/page/IndustryRelationsPolicy" style="color: #0563c1;">APGO’s Industry Relations Policy</a>, which was adopted by the APGO Board of Directors in 2012.</span></p><p style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial;">This educational resource provides information about interactions with industry that commonly occur in the medical field and provides learners with guidelines for responsible practices and relationships.
