CROFTON, MD, September 6, 2024 – The Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) is pleased to announce the release of the APGO Educational Modules on Responsible Engagement with Industry. These modules are an update of the 2014 APGO Interactions with Industry modules and were developed to support APGO’s Industry Relations Policy, which was adopted by the APGO Board of Directors in 2012. This educational resource provides information about interactions with industry that commonly occur in the medical field and provides learners with guidelines for responsible practices and relationships. Each of the four modules includes a slide deck, a case study, and a quiz. Members of the APGO Corporate Liaison Council, Board of Directors, Development Committee, and staff collaborated in several meetings in 2022-2023 to review and update the learning resources for each module. “We are pleased to provide guidelines to ensure appropriate and beneficial interactions with industry in the medical field,” said Molly Georgakis, CAE, APGO Executive Director. “We hope they will prove useful to our members as well as to medical students and residents in search of guidance to help navigate future relationships.” APGO would like to especially thank the participating members of the 2023-2023 APGO Corporate Liaison Council, including: Click here to learn more about APGO Resources. ### About Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) The Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) is a nonprofit, membership-based organization for ob-gyn medical educators.
