APGO membership offers a wealth of teaching resources, faculty development programs, meetings, grants and awards, volunteer leadership opportunities and much more.

The APGO Membership Year runs from July 1 – June 30.

Department Membership
Department membership if available to university departments recognized by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and LCME accredited, or by the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) as well as to non-university teaching hospitals with active educational programs for undergraduate medical students in obstetrics and gynecology which are LCME or AACOM accredited. International department membership is available to university or non-university, non-LCME or AACOM accredited schools or teaching hospitals with an active educational program for students and/or residents from schools based outside of the US or Canada.

Individual Membership
Individual membership is available to individuals with an interest in the objectives and activities of APGO and in academic obstetrics and gynecology.

Resident Membership
Resident membership is available to individuals during their Ob-Gyn Residency period. Resident members receive the same benefits as individual members.

Lifetime Membership
Lifetime membership is available to those who have completed their academic careers, are fully retired and were APGO members the five years prior to their request. Request must be approved by the APGO Board of Directors.

APGO Alumni Society
The APGO Alumni Society was created to connect, support and foster lifelong relationships among graduates of the APGO Academic Scholars and Leaders Program, the APGO Surgical Education Scholars Program, its precursor programs, Introductions to Hysteroscopy and Electrosurgery, APGO Capstone Program attendees and “alumni” volunteer leaders of the APGO Board of Directors and APGO committees and task forces. Alumni Society membership is for individuals who are current APGO members.
