The Innovation Fest demonstrates innovative tools and resources that can be used to advance ob-gyn medical education. Examples include low-fidelity simulation, gamification, case-based flipped classroom, digital applications, or interactive web-based curricula. Submissions should be actual products that can be and/or are being used for ob-gyn healthcare education.
Presenters must follow and adhere to the Checklist for Curricular Materials for Faculty Development Seminar Speakers.
The APGO FDS is a fully in-person meeting with no options for virtual or hybrid presentations or attendance.
Innovation Fest tools/resources must meet the following criteria:
- Applicable for UME ob-gyn education
- Usable as an educational tool/product to teach students, faculty, others, including IPE
- Free for use by the APGO membership
Abstract Format:
- Title of the Innovative Tool/Resource (maximum of 100 characters, including spaces)
- Author(s) (Maximum of two)
- Type of tool/resource (low-fidelity simulation, gamification, case-based flipped classroom, digital applications, or interactive web-based curricula, med ed video, other (specify))
- Targeted learners
- Précis (maximum of 140 characters, including spaces)
- Abstract (maximum of 100 words)
- Objective or purpose of the tool/resource
- Description of how the tool/resource is currently being used or how you plan to use it at your home institution
- Word count
- Key word (Choose one key word that illustrates the central theme of the presentation.)
