The Donna Wachter Clerkship Coordinator Award acknowledges excellence in the position of Ob-Gyn Clerkship Coordinator and is designed to recognize an outstanding Ob-Gyn Clerkship
Coordinator as identified by the Department Chair. There is one overall award winner plus an additional four finalists.
A Clerkship Coordinator is an essential member of the ob-gyn clerkship team. Exemplary coordinators possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to problem solve discretely and diplomatically. Commendable coordinators work well
independently but know when to seek direction from supervisors and faculty. The Ob-Gyn Clerkship Coordinator exemplifies the institution's mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with its policies and procedures.
Award Overview
- There is one award winner plus four finalists.
- Nominees recognized as a finalist (formerly Honorable Mention awardees) are eligible to receive the overall award in a future year.
- Nominators will be informed of the disposition of their submissions by December.
- The winners will be mailed a certificate of excellence as an acknowledgement of receipt of this award.
- Signage will be promptly displayed with the winners’ names and photos at CAAM.
- The winners will be acknowledged on the APGO website after CAAM and in a spring APGO Ob-Gyn Educator newsletter.
- This Award is non transferrable.
