APGO’s Annual Clerkship Directors Survey was created by the Undergraduate Medical Education Committee (UMEC). First launched in 2018, the survey is sent to APGO member ob-gyn clerkship directors around the United States and Canada each April.

Each year’s survey includes demographic questions to learn who clerkship directors are, and questions about a special focus topic to gather information on important topics affecting clerkship directors and undergraduate medical education.

Past focus topics have included:

• 2023: Post-Dobbs Abortion Education
• 2024: Student Work Hours
• 2025: Precision Education

The results from the survey are used to shape the curriculum for APGO’s Susan M. Cox, MD, Clerkship Directors’ School and inform the development of APGO resources.
