The Testing & Self-Assessment (TSA) Committee produces teaching tools and promotes innovative teaching methods for continued excellence in undergraduate medical education throughout the United States and Canada. The committee writes new test bank questions and performs qualitative and quantitative analysis and revisions of existing questions for the proprietary APGO uWISE and PrepforRes online self-assessments.

TSA Committee members are responsible for supporting the mission and goals of APGO which include improving undergraduate medical education in obstetrics and gynecology across the United States and Canada by:

  • Developing web-based self-assessment and testing programs for medical students and residents
  • Maintaining APGO questions database to ensure accuracy of all questions
  • Implementing new technologies for students’ self-assessment
  • Promoting production of quality instructional materials

Committee Structure
The TSA Committee is comprised of seven members. Members are expert educators who have experience or interest in multiple choice question writing, editing, and finessing.

The goal is to achieve a diverse committee that is representative of the members, faculty, and students we serve. The committee, composed of leaders in medical education, strives to design materials and experiences that promote education in women’s health while ensuring that students and faculty understand how social, political, and economic factors influence health outcomes.
