The Awards Selection Committee reviews, evaluates, and competitively ranks proposals, applications, and nominations, based upon each program’s criteria, to determine awardees. This group also reviews work products, where applicable.

Responsibilities
Awards Selection Committee members are responsible for supporting the mission and goals of APGO which include improving undergraduate medical education in obstetrics and gynecology across the United States and Canada by:

  • Evaluating and ranking submissions for APGO awards programs
  • Reviewing and assessing deliverables of awarded projects
  • Making recommendations for modifications/updates of work products

Committee Structure
The Awards Selection Committee is comprised of four at-large members and the Chair, who also serves as the APGO Secretary-Treasurer, for a total of five physician (MD, DO, PhD) educator members.

The Awards Selection Committee reports to the APGO Board of Directors.
